Game Overview

Sandwalkers is a roguelike turn-based exploration game where you lead a caravan of adventurers through perilous environments to achieve your mission. Set in a world plagued by meteorological chaos and inhabited by monstrous threats, your goal is to resurrect the Mother Tree Umama and restore balance to the land. With each expedition, you’ll face unpredictable challenges, gather vital knowledge, and build a legacy that will aid future caravans.

Story

Every decade, the Mka tribe sends caravans into the treacherous Phithi—a chaotic meteorological zone that separates the Uwando tribes and makes survival outside their refuges nearly impossible. The caravans’ mission is multifaceted:

• Establish Diplomatic Relations: Forge connections with isolated tribes and build trade networks.
• Explore and Reclaim: Venture into dangerous lands overrun by monsters and pirates to reclaim them for future generations.
• Plant a New Tree City: Create a new refuge for the Mka and their allies by planting a tree city.

Regardless of the mission’s outcome, each caravan must send the knowledge and memories they’ve gathered back to the capital via crystospheres carried by traveling beetles.
