Story:

You are an amyetri, a corporeal spirit condemned to dwell in the shadowy realm of Purgatory. Your journey is driven by a quest to end your suffering by performing the Rites of Orpheus. This epic quest will have you facing chthonic deities and otherworldly adversaries as you fight your way through Purgatory to reach the transcendent Elysium. Collect gold-stained corpses and sell them to priests to fund your journey, all while uncovering cosmic revelations.

Gameplay:

• The Deprived Initiate: Begin your quest with only a broken sword. Gather danake, the blood-soaked currency of the underworld, to purchase better equipment and face off against the Dismal Lords that bar your path to Elysium.
• Risk versus Reward: Purgatory is a dangerous place where the revenant creatures are just as eager for danake as you are. If you fall in battle, you risk losing your accumulated wealth. Choose to deposit your danake in the Pantheon before you die, or continue your perilous run and risk losing it all.
• Strength in Assembly: The underworld can be a lonely place, but you don’t have to face it alone. Team up with up to three friends in co-op mode, utilizing specialized gear and gadgets to support and revive each other as you carve a path through the perils of Purgatory.
• A Herculean Journey: Traverse a variety of treacherous environments including the scorched cliffs of Theseus, the crumbling temples of Orpheus, and the fiery foundries of Hephaestus. Navigate through labyrinths, molten lakes of gold, and shattered mountains while contending with powerful enemies and deities.
• The Armoury of Ares: Equip yourself with a vast array of weapons purchased from the priestesses, including crowns, rings, and both ranged and melee weapons. Customize and enhance your armament with exciting augmentations to gain an edge in battle.
