Upon further investigation, it was revealed that this was not a viral outbreak but a parasitic infestation. The “Alpha-worms” burrowed under the skin of their hosts, laying eggs that hatched into larvae, infiltrating the bloodstream and causing various genetic anomalies. These changes, rather than being fatal, amplified the hosts’ size and strength, driving them into a frenzy of hunger and violence.
