Story:

The Holy Grail War:

Each Master summons a Heroic Spirit, or Servant, to battle for supremacy. Despite four previous Holy Grail Wars, no victor has emerged.

Ten years before the current events, Shirou Emiya was rescued from the battlefield by Kiritsugu Emiya, a mage. Under Kiritsugu’s care, Shirou vowed to become a Hero of Justice, despite Kiritsugu’s reluctance to teach him magecraft. The promise made to his dying adoptive father sets the stage for the upcoming conflict.
